The Boner® Boards Taco Downhill Slide Longboard Deck (BBL 101)
Our Boner® Boards Taco Longboard Deck is made from strong, light, hard 7 ply Canadian maple hardwood, fused together with water-resistant glue. This ensures maximum stiffness, strength, pop and durability.
It has a progressive mellow concave curvature in the middle, then "Progressively" steeper at the rails. This design provides a more stable, secure footing and a more comfortable locked-in feel under your feet when standing motionless on the deck, yet provides enough curvature to be able to carve sharply. Rounded rails are common for skateboards, and what we choose of our decks, as their shape makes them good for flip tricks. Having the right rail shape can make a difference in how your board rides.
The symmetrical shape of our Taco Longboard design works great for downhill skateboarding. It also has wheel cutouts which allow larger wheels to be used. However, our design is perfectly suited for cruising from place A to place B, or just skateboarding out in the world for the sake of skateboarding, without thinking about tricks or flying down hills. Or maybe you are into graceful Freestyle dancing with a longboard, which our Boner® Boards would be great choice.

Choosing a Longboard Truck Profile:
The distance between the hanger and the bottom of the skate deck is known as truck profile. Generally, high-sized trucks suit most longboarders, though they can be substituted for Mid or low trucks depending on skating style. Longboards often have inverted trucks. We recommend the High-Level Trucks while are ideal for large wheels, high trucks are made for carving and cruising streets and works well for longboard or cruiser.
Choosing Wheels for your Longboard:
Longboards with larger, softer wheels and the right trucks will always be superior for hills and slopes. For wheel size, we recommend 60mm+ with high trucks on our longboards. They’ll give you the best control, glide over anything, and give you no wheel bite. For cruising and carving, we recommend soft wheels that are under 80a (Wheel Durometer is the measurement of the wheel or bushing hardness), as these will reduce vibration from bumpy roads for smoother and more comfortable skating. However, 80a to 83a are balanced between soft and hard, giving the rider the freedom of control, speed, and grip. These are popular for freeriding, downhill, sliding.
